There are many online casinos that offer either
Cyperstud
or Caribbean Stud. Both games have similar game play and pay out structure. The
house edge when you
play
Caribbean Stud is 2.6% with proper game play. This works out to a pay out
ratio of 97.4%. Using a bonus you can greatly decrease the house edge and
increase the pay out ratio.
Some Internet casinos will not let you play this game with a
bonus, so make sure that you are not playing at one of those casinos before you hit the
Cyperstud progressive jackpot. The top casinos that allow you to play
Caribbean Stud with your match bonus is the Casino Tropez, Rushmore Casino and the Club
USA Casino.
Before you begin playing Caribbean
Stud, you will first have to decide how much you want to wager.
You can wager between a $1 to $300 per hand depending on the casino
that you are at. You will also
have to decide whether or not you want to play the progressive.
It is usually a good idea to play the progressive, there is a high
house advantage, but it is a relatively small investment.
Missing a big time pay out can be extra painful for this casino
game, because there is a good chance that your Royal Flush hand will
win you absolutely nothing. Why? You will soon find out.
Once you have selected how much
you want to wager, you will need to press deal. Your five card
poker hand and the dealer's poker hand will be dealt. One of
the dealer's cards will be dealt face up. You will then have
to decide to fold your hand or bet your hand. By folding you
will have your hand tossed and your will lose your ante. Betting
your hand will require you to place a additional wager equal to
twice your ante. After making your decision, the dealer's
cards will be flipped over and one of three situations will occur.
The dealer's hand will not qualify
if the poker hand isn't at least a Ace high, King high hand.
If this happens, you will be paid out your ante 1:1 and your bet
will be pushed back.
If the dealer's hand is Ace, King
or better, but is not as good as your poker hand, then you will win
both your ante and your bet. When this happens your ante will
be paid out 1:1 and your bet will be paid out depending on your
poker hand. The pay outs range from 1:1 for a high card, 2:1
for two pair, 3:1 for trips and up to 100:1 for a Royal Flush.
If the dealer has a qualified hand
that is better than your hand, then you will lose both your ante and
your bet.
For Cyperstud Poker the game play works much the same
way. The only big difference is the pay that you will
get for different hands. Much like Caribbean Stud, if the dealer hand does not
qualify, then you will be paid out at a rate of twice your initial
bet and have your second bet refunded. A Ace, King or better
hand is needed for the dealer to have his hand qualified. If
the dealer qualifies, you will still have to have a better hand than
the dealer. So even if a three of a kind pays out 4:1 it won't
matter if the dealer has a flush.
The progressive jackpot and the
bonus pay outs are independent of the regular game for both games.
The jackpot pay table is almost identical except for a
Straight Flush. In Caribbean Stud you will get 10% of
the jackpot, but for Cyperstud it is fixed at $20,000.
Both progressive bets will cost you a $1 to play. These casino games can be
frustrating to play at times. Not paying the $1 for the
progressive can be a very costly mistake, even if mathematically it
makes more sense not to play it most of the time. If you do
not play the progressive and the dealer doesn't qualify, then your
Royal Flush will pay the same as a poker hand without even a pair.
